Noah's ark, c1300-c1325. Noah on the left hand side of the ark is releasing the birds to find out if the floodwater is receding. On the right hand side of the ark, the dove has retruned with an olive branch indicating that the waters are indeed receding. Two of Noah's sons are looking out of the ark's windows. Behind the ark are trees on the very tops of mountains. Animals and men who did not board the ark are drowning in the waters.
