Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, Chiswick, [west London], 1880. 'The Bishop of London lately consecrated the new Church of St. Michael and All Angels, built on the Bedford estate, Chiswick, close to Turnham-green railway-station. The district which the new edifice will serve is one rapidly growing in houses and population. The building is constructed of red brick, in the old Gothic style, with what are termed "Queen Anne" additions. After the ceremony of consecration there was an offertory for the building fund, £1000 remaining due of the £6000 which was the cost of erecting the church'. From "Illustrated London News", 1880.
