Interior of Le Géant Inflating, 1863. The Giant, a balloon commissioned by French photographer Nadar and built by Eugène Godard. It was 60 metres (196 ft) high and had a capacity of 6,000 cubic metres (210,000 cubic ft). Gelatin silver print.
