'Balmoral Castle at the time of Victoria', (1901). View of Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837-1901). The estate was purchased in 1852 by Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert who extended the 15th century castle. It has been the summer residence of the British royal family ever since.
