One of a set of sculptures and metopes (A45-70) from temple of Zeus at Olympia, c460 BC. Apollo (L), west pediment, 460 BC. Figure of naked Apollo (L). The hair, held by narrow fillet or crown, is taken up at the nape of the neck and arranged in symmetrical curls above the forehead and in front of the ears. Right shoulder and left forearm. Dimensions: height: 275 cm
