Bird's eye view, St Louis, Missouri, USA, 1910. Vintage postcard showing a an aerial view of the city, with the Mississippi River in the distance. The tall structure to the right of centre is the Bissell Tower, one of a series of standpipe towers built to control surges in pressure in the city's water supply system. It was designed by architect William Eames and built in 1886.
