Angelus Temple of the Foursquare Gospel, Los Angeles, California, USA, 1931. Vintage linen postcard showing the exterior of the building, with two large radio masts visible. It was built in the early 1920s at the direction of Aimee Semple McPherson, a Canadian-born evangelist and founder of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. She preached to audiences of over 5000 people inside the church and broadcast her sermons via radio. In 1992 the temple was designated a National Historic Landmark.
