Thomas Arundel, Archbishop of Canterbury and Lord Chancellor. Arundel (1353-1414) was appointed Archbishop of York in 1388, and of Canterbury in 1397. In 1399 he was exiled by Richard II but was restored as Archbishop after Richard was deposed by Henry IV. Arundel was an outspoken opponent of the Lollard movement.
