Medmenham Abbey, Medmenham, Buckinghamshire, 1883. The exterior of the abbey ruins from the south, once a Cistercian house founded in the early 13th century. After the Dissolution a house was built on the site for Sir Francis Duffield, altered and enlarged in the 18th and 19th century.
