Crypt of St Wystan's church, Repton, Derbyshire. The 9th century crypt of St Wystan's church, Repton, showing detail of spiral decoration on the columns which support the vaulted ceiling. Light falls from a semi-circular window onto the stone floor. St Wystan's is a rare surviving example of an Anglo-Saxon crypt.
