Alan John Ainsworth has been a photographer for over 40 years and has built up an extensive body of work in urban, architectural and performing arts photography. His online archive of jazz musicians is one of the largest in the country. Alan was Photographer in Residence at the University of Warwick Arts Centre between 2011-12 and has exhibited widely.
As a writer Alan has published four books and many articles and reviews. His most recent book (with Alec Forshaw), Brussels Art Nouveau: Architecture and Design was published in 2016 by Unicorn Press. Alan is currently writing a book about American jazz photography.
Alan lives and works in Clerkenwell, London.
