Theatre Royal, King Street, City of Bristol, 1997 - 1998. The auditorium in the Theatre Royal, viewed from the stage. The 18th century Theatre Royal was externally rebuilt in 1970-72 to incorporate the adjacent 18th century Coopers' Hall. The design of the original theatre is attributed to James Paty the Younger or, perhaps more likely, Thomas Paty.
