The War Dance of the Ioway Indians, exhibiting at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, 1844. Indigenous people on show in London for the amusement of Europeans. They performed a war dance, archery, and a ball game similar to hurling. The Iowa, also known as Ioway, and the Bah-Kho-Je or Báxoje, are a Native American Siouan people.
