The Royal Oak Cup is housed at the Barber-Surgeons' Hall. The Royal Oak cup was presented by Charles II in 1676 at the request of his surgeons Sir John Knight and James Pearse to commemorate his escape from Cromwell’s forces at Boscobel. The cup is one of the Worshipful Company of Barbers most important possessions. From The Connoisseur 1916, VOL. XLIV.
