The robes, regimental badge and insignia of the Irish Guards, 1953. These ceremonial robes were worn at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Motto: Quis Separabit (?) - Who Shall Separate [Us]?') with shamrock and cross, and the date MDCCLXXXIII (1783). The motto is drawn from the Order of St Patrick, which was founded by George III for the Kingdom of Ireland in February 1783).
