The Duke of Connaught, British soldier, 1875. The third son of Queen Victoria, Prince Arthur (1850-1942) married Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, on 13th March 1879. After a career in the army, he served as Governor-General of Canada from 1911 to 1916. A print from an extra supplement to The Illustrated London news, 29th May 1875.
