Single Leaf of a Portrait of Shah Jahan, mid 11th century AH/AD 17th century. This small drawing is a portrait of the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (1592-1666). After the death of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, he ordered the building of the Taj Mahal in her memory.
