Silver Dirham of Caliph al-Mahdi, c775-785. Abbasid Dynasty minted at Bukhar. Abu Abdallah Muhammad ibn Abdallah al-Mansur (744 or 745 - 785), better known as al-Mahdi ( He who is guided by God), was third Abbasid Caliph, he reigned from 775 to his death in 785.
