Rockefeller Plaza Center, New Your City, New York, USA, 1956. Vintage postcard showing the plaza of the Rockefeller Center, with the colourful flags of the United Nations and Paul Manship's statue of Prometheus bearing his gift of fire to mankind. The Art Deco Rockefeller Center complex is made up of several buildings, fourteen of them built between 1931 and 1939. American industrialist John D Rockefeller (1839-1937) financed the project.
