'Rhio Rhio, King of the Sandwich Islands', c1824. Illustration from the "Lady's Magazine", (London, 1824). King Kamehameha II and Queen Kamamalu arrived in London in May 1824 for a state visit. Unfortunately their party caught measles, and he and the Queen both died.
