'Procession to the hustings after a successful canvass, no:14', 1784. An election procession including the Duchess of Devonshire and two other ladies (probably Lady Duncannon and Mrs Crewe). They are followed by citizens wearing Fox favours. The Duchess campaigned actively in support of Charles James Fox during the 1784 general election, but the election was a decisive victory fir his bitter rival, William Pitt the Younger.
