Prince Georg Friedrich of Waldeck, (1690s). Portrait of German and Dutch Field Marshal Prince Georg Friedrich of Waldeck (1620-1692). The Italian inscription mentions that he fought against the 'Ottoman army'. In 1683 he commanded Bavarian troops during the Battle of Vienna. The city had been besieged by the Ottoman Empire for two months.
