Martin Luther King Jr. Day, (sometimes referred to as MLK Day), is a national holiday in the United States honoring African-American civil rights campaigner Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)) who was assassinated, supposedly by James Earl Ray, on 4 April 1968. The yellow button has black text which reads [NATIONAL HOLIDAY] curved around the top, [MARTIN / LUTHER / KING JR.] in the center, and [APRIL 4] curved at the bottom. The back is silver and has a wire pin.
