Manufacturing aircraft, Waring & Gillow, Hammersmith, London, 1914-1918. The most suitable sites for manufacturing military parts and supplies were adapted during the war. Normally employed to make cabinets and furnishings, these men are being employed through the Munitions Committee to produce aircraft wings.
