General Julio Sanguily, born in Havana in 1846. Landing in Cuba in 1868 was taken prisoner on 7 October 1871, being rescued by Ignacio Agramonte, commanding 35 riders. Attacked Sancti Spiritus in 1875; attempted mutiny in 1895 for which he was detained in the hut and later deported to New York, died in 1906.
