John Everett Millais, British artist, c1880-1882. Millais (1829-1896) was a founder member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood in 1848. After 1870 he painted mainly portraits and landscapes. He was elected President of the Royal Academy in 1896. A print from Modern Artists, prepared under the direction of FG Dumas, JS Virtue and Co, London, c1880-1882.
