General Charles Fleetwood, Parliamentary soldier and politician, in armour, (c1750). Fleetwood (died 1692) commanded a regiment in the New Model Army during the English Civil War, and fought at Naseby and Newbury where he was wounded. His second wife was Bridget Cromwell, daughter of Oliver Cromwell.
