Fernanda Pascual de Miranda, 1832. Portrait of Fernanda Pascual, wife of Santiago Miranda y Montijano. She wears a gauze blouse with ruffled collar, and gold brooches with tropical bird motifs. Around her neck is a gold chain with a key for the valuable watch she keeps under her belt. Her husband was a supernumerary knight of the Order of Charles III, and president of the Board of Passive Classes of the Ministry of Finance, the institution responsible for administering state pensions and subsidies.
