Family Group at Erigmore, from an album compiled by Sir John Everett Millais, 1880. For a few years after their marriage in 1855 Millais and Effie lived principally in Perthshire, and it was during this period that Millais also formed a close bond with other members of Effie’s family. Those present are: (standing left to right) Alice Stibbard, Mary Millais, Mrs & Mr Perugini, J.E. Millais, Mary Russell, George Stibbard, Alice Millais and (seated left to right) Geoff Milllais, Arthur James, Sophie Caird and Everett Millais.
