Diorite statue of the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Khafre, 26th century BC. The fourth pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty, Khafre (Chephren) was the builder of the second of the Great Pyramids of Giza. It is believed that his is the face on the Great Sphinx that also stands on th plateau of Giza.
