Cast showing egg-and-dart above bead-and-reel from lower cornice, 19th century. The cast shows an egg-and-dart motif above an astragal with bead-and-reel. It may be a cast of a small area of the lower cornice of the Arch of Septimius Severus (AD/CE 203) in the Roman Forum, or from a cornice that was in the 'Pescheria', the area around the Theatre of Marcellus in Rome, in the late 18th century. The cast was probably from the collection of Thomas Lawrence.
