Cast of modillion decorated with a palmette at its base, late 18th or early 19th century. The cast is of a modillion in the Galleria dei Candelabri, Vatican Museums. It is currently mounted upside down and supports a statue of Cupid in the sleep of death. It was part of the collection of casts of Thomas Lawrence which were sold on auction on 10 May 1830.
