Its university - now represented by a lyceum, an academy, and five other scientific establishments - owes its origin to the founder of Eton, Henry VI., King of England...Of the vastness and perfection of the principal lyceum..., the finest in France...an idea may be formed from the fact that there are above two hundred interne students, and each has a bedroom to himself'.
