Bust of a Roman, supposedly Domitius Corbulo, first half of 1st century BC. Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo (6-67) was a Roman general. He was the brother-in-law of the Emperor Caligula. He was forced to commit suicide after coming under suspicion of being involved in plots to overthrow the Emperor Nero. Found in the collection of The Hermitage, St Petersburg.
