Audley End House and Gardens, Saffron Walden, Essex, 2009. View of the west elevation showing the autumn mist settling on the lawn. Audley End House stands on the site of Walden Abbey. The present house is a Jacobean mansion built in 1605-1614 for the 1st Earl of Suffolk, though much reduced in size.
