Audley End House and Gardens, Saffron Walden, Essex, 2006. View across the lawn towards the house showing autumn leaves. Audley End House stands on the site of Walden Abbey. The present house is a Jacobean mansion built in 1605-1614 for the 1st Earl of Suffolk, though much reduced in size.
