Jacques Léonard Clément-Thomas (1809-1871), French politician and general, 1870. The Government of National Defence appointed him commander-in-chief of the National Guard of the Seine during the siege of Paris in 1870. He was arrested and executed during the Paris Commune of 1871. From "Historia de la Guerra de Francia y Prusia" (History of the War between France and Prussia), Volume I, published in Barcelona, 1870.
