Hotel de Balzac, entrance and facade on rue Fortunée, Paris, 1880. In order to welcome Madame Hanska to a home worthy of her, Balzac acquired in September 1846 part of the former Folie of the financier Beaujon, located in the rue Fortunée (current rue Balzac). The writer undertook important renovation and decoration works. The building was demolished in 1890.
