Horreo of Carnota, La Coruna province, Galicia, Spain, 2010. The world's largest horreo (granary). It was constructed by the architect Gregorio Quintela in 1768, although its current appearance is due to an enlargement in 1783. The structure is raised on staddle stones to protect the stored grain from vermin and water seepage.
