Leopoldo O'Donnell, (1809-1867), Spanish military and politician, 1853. He took part in the First Carlist War (1833-1840) on the side of Queen Isabella II. President of the Spanish government on several occasions after Espartero's Progressive Biennium (1854-1856). He founded the Union Liberal party. From "Historia General de España" by Father Mariana, Madrid, 1853.
