Battle of Truillas, (22nd September, 1793), War of Roussillon, 1853. War episode that took place in Truillas, near Perpignan, during the War of Roussillon or War of the Pyrenees, between the troops of Charles IV of Spain, under the command of General Antonio Ricardos, and the French army led by Luc Siméon Auguste Dagobert. The Spanish army won a great victory against the French revolutionary army, driving them back towards the mountains.From "Historia General de España" by Father Mariana, Madrid, 1853.
