Biscayan uprising, War of Roussillon, also called War of the Pyrenees or War of the Convention, (1793-1795), 1851. Conflict between the Spain of Charles IV and the First French Republic. In order to contain the advance of the French enemy, a mass levy was ordered, comprising all citizens capable of taking up arms from the age of 17 to 60 years old.
