Entrance to the Ambassadors Theatre, West Street, London, c1960-1973. The theatre advertises a performance of the Agatha Christie murder mystery "The Mousetrap", which opened at the Ambassadors in 1952 and was still running over 20 years later. The "House Full" notice testifies to the play's enduring popularity. The production was moved to the adjacent St Martin's Theatre in 1973, and has continued to be performed there ever since, making it the world's longest-running play.
