Couch presented by the Queen after her visit to Netley Hospital..., 1898. '...in February 1898, with coverlet worked by Her Majesty and presented in 1882. On her latest visit to Netley her Majesty [Queen Victoria] seemed pleased and surprised to see the coverlet, and said, "I must work some more." Corporal Saltyer, of the Royal Artillery, suffering from fractured spine, occupied the couch.' From "Illustrated London News", 1898.
