Ladies' Page: a pretty silk blouse, 1898. 'The perennial blouse, another tried and trusty A.D.C. of the sex, is with us still, while edited up to the latest fashion as a matter of course. Custom will, it is indeed to be hoped, never stale its infinite variety, for the blouse may be unequivocally expressed as one of our greatest boons and blessings. This model of pale green accordion-pleated silk, with interlaced cross-barred bands of darker green satin and velvet-edged guipure, is an easily copied and extremely pretty example of the newest form in blouses.'
