A Remarkable Circus Feat: Corradini's rapid descent on horseback, 1898. 'From a Sketch by Mr. F. Hosang. The circus rider Corradini is here shown in the feat with which he has been startling Berlin, Paris, and Copenhagen. He and his horse take their place on a small swinging platform, and a slow ascent is made to the top of the building, followed by a quick drop to the floor. The rider has his horse so well in hand that in the rapid descent, in place of any shying, jumping, or restlessness, the animal preserves almost the rigid immobility of a bronze statue'.
