For Stiffness - Aches - Sprains - Bruises'. There were two products - 'Universal Embrocation' for humans, and 'Royal Embrocation' for animals - but there was supposedly no difference between the two. Victorian sensibilities were shocked by women in knickerbockers or bloomers. They were seen as ungraceful and too masculine, 'even when worn as a bicycling costume'.
