Thoughtless Beauty, the winner of the Waterloo Cup, 1895. 'The annual [hare] coursing contest at Altcar ended on March 15, as regards the Waterloo Cup, in a victory for Mr. Pilkington's Thoughtless Beauty. The result of the fifth round had been to leave Fortuna Favente and Thoughtless Beauty as competitors, and to the latter dog fell the prize. The winner is half-sister to Texture, who won the cup last year, and was bred by Messrs. Thompson, who sold her to Mr. Pilkington. In 1888 this gentleman won the Waterloo Cup with Burnaby, so that it is his second victory'. From "Illustrated London News", 1895.
