Advertisement for Pears' Soap, 1895. 'Where's that towel?' He won't be happy till he gets it! It is specially recommended for Infants and Children, because it is perfectly pure, and does not irritate their delicate sensitive skin nor make their little eyes smart. It lasts so long that It is certainly the Cheapest as well as the Best Toilet Soap It makes Children feel comfortable, and hence happy after their bath, and by its use the natural softness and brightness of their complexions are improved and preserved. The great Authority on the Skin, SIR ERASMUS WILSON, F.R.S., Late President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, calls it a "BALM FOR THE SKIN," and strongly recommends its use for the complexion'.
