Gibbet smock mill seen from the opposite side of the Ashford and Hasting Railway line with a warning sign in the foreground, Ferry Road, Rye, Rother, East Sussex, 1934. Standing on the original brick base, this white smock mill is a reconstruction of the former working mill which burnt down in 1930. The original mill was built in 1824.
